Website and hosting

Delivering and protecting this website involves processing IP addresses, access times, requested files, browser and operating-system details and, where applicable, the referring page. The basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in a secure, available website. Technical hosting providers receive these data. Access logs are retained only as needed for operation, troubleshooting and investigating security incidents.

Enquiries and bookings

We process contact details and messages received by telephone or email to respond. Bookings may additionally require names, stay dates, room preferences, guest numbers and billing details. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to preparing and performing contracts; Article 6(1)(f) applies to other enquiries. Required booking information is needed to handle or fulfil a booking; without it this may not be possible. Additional voluntary details are optional.

DIRS21 online booking

The booking service is provided by TourOnline AG, Borsigstrasse 26, 73249 Wernau, Germany. The booking form loads automatically when you visit our hotel pages. IP addresses and browser data are transmitted; the service may use cookies and browser storage. Processing a booking you request is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. DIRS21 provides additional information within its booking service.

Maps, images and analytics

Maps are external links only. Opening them takes you to OpenStreetMap or Google Maps, whose privacy notices apply there. Our images and styles are served locally. We do not include analytics or advertising trackers in our own page code.

Recipients, international transfers and retention

Data may be disclosed as necessary to technical providers, booking providers and legally entitled authorities. Processing by the Swiss operator may involve transfers to Switzerland. Transfers outside the EEA must meet Articles 44 onwards GDPR. Completed enquiries are deleted unless contractual, legal or justified evidence requirements apply. Contract and accounting records are retained for applicable statutory periods.

Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation and to direct marketing at any time. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. You may complain to a supervisory authority, particularly where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred; the Thuringian authority is relevant to our German establishment. Our own page code does not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
